Jonava currently sits at the bottom of the nine-team standings, while Rytas caught up with Zalgiris Kaunas (6\u20131) in the win column \u2014 though Zalgiris could reclaim the sole lead with another victory on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The game was competitive only in the opening quarter, during which the visitors held a slight lead. However, once the period moved into its latter half, the momentum shifted toward the Jordan Walker-led hosts. Ignas Sargi\u016bnas closed the quarter with a jumper, giving Rytas a 28\u201321 advantage.<\/p>\n<p>In the second quarter, Rytas\u2019 offense really found its rhythm. Just a minute in, the lead was already in double digits (33\u201323), and from there, the Vilnius side continued to score almost at will. Still, their success was short-lived \u2013 Rytas gradually rebuilt its advantage, and by the end of the third quarter, Walker\u2019s scoring flurries had extended the lead even further than before, to 84\u201362.<\/p>\n<p>The final quarter left no doubt about the outcome, but that didn\u2019t stop Rytas from pushing the pace \u2013 the margin ballooned to a game-high 96\u201362. In the closing minutes, Rytas hunted for the 100-point mark, which Kay Bruhnke delivered with a three-pointer. The final buzzer ended Jonava\u2019s struggles on the court.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Walker and Art\u016bras Gudaitis led the way for the winners with outstanding performances. Walker scored 27 points (6\/10 from three), added 4 assists, and finished with a game-high efficiency of 30.
