Rytas Vilnius has extended its collaboration with one of the team’s key players – Gytis Radzevičius. The club and the 30-year-old forward, who celebrates his birthday today, signed a new contract, under which he will continue to represent the capital team.
“We have unfinished business! Enjoy the rest of your summer, see you soon – forward, Vilnius fans,” G. Radzevičius briefly told the supporters.
Over the past five seasons, the Vilnius native helped the team secure two Lithuanian championship titles (2022 and 2024). In the most recent Betsafe-LKL season, the forward averaged 12.2 points, 5.86 rebounds, 2.34 assists, and 17.5 efficiency rating per game.
His performances in international competitions were also impressive. The 197 cm player averaged 31.2 minutes per game, scoring 13.3 points, grabbing 7.1 rebounds, dishing out 1.4 assists, and recording a 17 efficiency rating, ranking 4th in the league.
“We are very happy to continue working with Gytis. He is our man – a Vilnius native who leaves his heart on the court every day and sets an example for the entire team with his work. His decision to stay with us has not only a sporting but also an emotional significance – it provides continuity and stability for the whole team. I have no doubt that Gytis will continue to delight Vilnius fans with his game,” said Rytas sports director Artūras Jomantas.
This will be the forward’s sixth season with Rytas.
