On April 25, the Rytas Vilnius team, together with the European digital banking services provider Satchel, joined the HOLD.EARTH tree planting initiative, demonstrating that social responsibility is not only an integral part of community life but also an important business aspect, reflecting companies’ commitment to contributing to community well-being and environmental sustainability.
Although Rytas Vilnius partner Satchel is a leading company in the digital payment card sector, its commitment, together with Rytas, to environmental protection and sustainability remains steadfast. The company actively encourages its clients to use digital alternatives to plastic cards, while also fostering awareness of the surrounding environment, nature, and social well-being.
“I believe that social responsibility is an essential component of today’s business culture. Companies that ignore social projects lack identity and cannot create added value for their clients. We are committed to investing in environmental preservation, sports, and charitable initiatives, which form the core of Satchel’s mission, aiming to create a better future,” said Satchel CEO Sergiy Barybin, highlighting the company’s dedication to social responsibility.

Near Vilnius, in the town of Onuškis, the Rytas Vilnius team met with Satchel representatives for the initiative. Thursday afternoon was dedicated to planting young trees.
“Planting trees is much easier than playing basketball,” joked Margiris Normantas, captain of the Rytas Vilnius team. “We have only one planet. It is our goal and responsibility to protect it,” he added.
The collaboration between Rytas Vilnius and Satchel and their efforts to contribute to sustainability initiatives emphasize a shared commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement in such projects.
