In the grand final, Giedrius Žibėnas’ squad fell 101-85 (23-21, 37-16, 22-27, 17-17) to Žalgiris Kaunas.

With this victory, the Kaunas club claimed a €40,000 prize, while the capital’s team took home €25,000 as runners-up.

The battle for the trophy remained competitive only briefly. Following a neck-and-neck first quarter (23-21), Žalgiris delivered a masterclass on both ends of the floor in the second. Dominating both offense and defense, they went on a massive 24-1 run to blow the game open, leading 61-33.

After the break, Rytas showed character and managed to cut the massive deficit in half (50-64). However, Žalgiris quickly stabilized and entered the final ten minutes with a comfortable 20-point cushion (84-64).

The foundation laid by the “Green and Whites” held firm through the closing minutes, and the final buzzer confirmed yet another Žalgiris triumph in the Citadele KMT tournament.

The Kaunas-based club was led to the blowout victory by their foreign duo, Sylvain Francisco and Moses Wright. The Frenchman recorded a double-double (23 points, 10 assists) for a game-high 33 efficiency rating. The American was close behind, finishing with 27 points, 6 rebounds, and a 31 efficiency rating.

Speedy Smith (15 pts, 6 ast, 18 eff) and Ignas Sargiūnas (16 pts, 4 reb, 12 eff) were the top performers for Rytas.
