As the biggest celebrations of the year approach, Rytas Vilnius continues the Together Against All campaign, inviting not only team fans but also sponsors and partners to join the initiative in the final month of 2023.
Together with them, the capital’s club aims to bring warmth to those who need it most – children growing up in care homes.
Just before Christmas, members of the organization will visit and deliver gifts to two community children’s homes they have been working with for several years: Šv. Jono vaikai and Atsigręžk į vaikus.
We are happy to contribute to children’s well-being during the festive season and create moments of happiness for those who may lack them, said head coach G. Žibėnas. Christmas is a time of miracles, and no one should be forgotten during the holidays. I believe our community will once again demonstrate unity not only in the arena but also beyond it, and together we will create an unforgettable celebration for the children.
During the home games against Gargždai (December 16) and Dijon JDA (December 19), arena visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a lottery. Everyone who donates 5 euros or more to this month’s Together Against All campaign will have a chance to win a basketball signed by the entire Rytas team.
Sponsors and partners of the club will also contribute to these visits through gifts and financial support.
When the campaign was renewed in October, Rytas Vilnius dedicated the first month to helping people in poverty – volunteering at the Betanija soup kitchen and collecting donations both in cash and clothing. In November, the capital club collected aid for Ukraine – with the 15,000 euros raised, the Blue&Yellow organization will purchase two thermal scopes for the country’s armed forces.
