Rytas Vilnius continues its partnership with one of its most loyal supporters — the Japanese cuisine restaurant Kamikadze. This season marks the ninth year of collaboration, which has become an important part of the history not only of the club but also of the city’s community.
“This year marks our ninth season together with Rytas. When I first came to Lithuania as an immigrant, Vilnius welcomed me warmly. Since then, I have felt a strong desire to give back to this city, and supporting Rytas became the perfect way to do so,” said Kamikadze founder Keishi Yamauchi.
Over nearly a decade, the connection has grown into more than just a business partnership; it has become a personal story. According to Keishi Yamauchi, Rytas has helped him feel even more connected to the city.
“Today I feel happy and proud that people recognize me not only in the arena but also on the streets and share their kindness. Even though I was not born here, Vilnius has become my true home, and Rytas is the heart of this city and my team. I am committed to supporting the club for many more years,” he added.
Kamikadze first opened its doors to guests in June 2014, making this year the restaurant’s 12th anniversary. Last year, a new location was opened on Trakų Street — the ramen restaurant Kamikadze Wow!
“Like Rytas, we want to grow, inspire, and share our passion and spirit with the people of Vilnius,” emphasized Keishi Yamauchi.
Rytas Vilnius director Jaroslav Latušinskij highlighted the strength of the partnership, which goes beyond traditional sponsorship.
“It is a great honor to walk together with the Kamikadze team for nine years. This partnership is built on trust, respect, and shared values. We are grateful for their loyalty and love for Vilnius — it is partners like them who strengthen Rytas and inspire us to contribute to the wellbeing of the city community,” said the club director.
