Rytas Vilnius (6–2) wrapped up the week on a high note in the Betsson-sponsored LKL, earning another convincing victory.

Giedrius Žibėnas’ squad delighted their home fans with a 104–72 (28:21, 36:25, 20:16, 20:10) blowout over Jonava Hipocredit (1–7).

This game marked the end of the first round of the Betsson LKL regular season for both teams. Jonava currently sits at the bottom of the nine-team standings, while Rytas caught up with Zalgiris Kaunas (6–1) in the win column — though Zalgiris could reclaim the sole lead with another victory on Sunday evening.

The game was competitive only in the opening quarter, during which the visitors held a slight lead. However, once the period moved into its latter half, the momentum shifted toward the Jordan Walker-led hosts. Ignas Sargiūnas closed the quarter with a jumper, giving Rytas a 28–21 advantage.

In the second quarter, Rytas’ offense really found its rhythm. Just a minute in, the lead was already in double digits (33–23), and from there, the Vilnius side continued to score almost at will. Jonava also managed to find some success offensively, keeping the score respectable by halftime – 64–46.

Jonava Hipocredit started the second half positively, trimming the gap to 55–67. Still, their success was short-lived – Rytas gradually rebuilt its advantage, and by the end of the third quarter, Walker’s scoring flurries had extended the lead even further than before, to 84–62.

The final quarter left no doubt about the outcome, but that didn’t stop Rytas from pushing the pace – the margin ballooned to a game-high 96–62. In the closing minutes, Rytas hunted for the 100-point mark, which Kay Bruhnke delivered with a three-pointer. The final buzzer ended Jonava’s struggles on the court.

Jordan Walker and Artūras Gudaitis led the way for the winners with outstanding performances. Walker scored 27 points (6/10 from three), added 4 assists, and finished with a game-high efficiency of 30. Gudaitis, who received his September–October MVP award before tip-off, recorded a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) and matched Walker’s 30 efficiency rating.

Rytas: Jordan Walker 27, Artūras Gudaitis and Ignas Sargiūnas 15 each, Simonas Lukošius 10, Kay Bruhnke and Gytis Radzevičius 9 each, Jerrick Harding 7, Martynas Paliukėnas 6.
Jonava Hipocredit: Džiugas Slavinskas 17, Hilmar Henningsson 14, Matas Repšys and Modestas Babraitis 11 each, Benjamin Krikke 7.
