Rytas Vilnius (8–2) had little trouble adding another win in the Betsson-backed Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL), rolling past Jonava Hipocredit (1–9) with a convincing 105–71 victory on the road.
Gytis Radzevičius was rested for this matchup.
The first meeting between the teams also ended in a comfortable Rytas win, 104–72.
Rytas jumped out to a quick 9–2 start and never looked back. Artūras Gudaitis pushed the lead into double digits (15–5), then Simonas Lukošius buried back-to-back threes to stretch the gap to 25–9. Rytas Vilnius controlled the entire opening period and led 29–14 after the first quarter.
Jonava briefly cut the deficit to single digits (25–34) after a run sparked by Dovydas Buika, Džiugas Slavinskas and Mihkel Kirves, but Rytas Vilnius immediately responded. The visitors tightened up defensively, regained full momentum, and rebuilt a dominant advantage — 55–33 at halftime.
In the third quarter Rytas completely broke the game open. Martynas Paliukėnas and Jordan Walker sparked another surge (62–34), while Jonava simply couldn’t keep up on either end of the floor. The visitors stayed efficient from the foul line and cruised to an 84–52 lead after three.
The fourth quarter changed nothing — even after Kay Bruhnke fouled out, Rytas maintained full control and closed out a wire-to-wire blowout. The final minutes were purely academic.
Rytas showcased balanced scoring across the roster:
Jordan Walker led the way with 20 points, Jerrick Harding added 18, Simonas Lukošius had 17, Gytis Masiulis chipped in 16, and Artūras Gudaitis contributed 13 with a strong 24 efficiency.
It was also Lukošius’ best outing of the LKL season — 17 points, 5 boards and a 20 efficiency rating.
Jonava Hipocredit: Džiugas Slavinskas 18, Benjamin Krikke 13, Lukas Kreišmontas 10; Dovydas Buika, Jaylen Henry, Hilmar Henninsson — 6 each.
Rytas Vilnius: Jordan Walker 20 (4/8 3PT), Jerrick Harding 18, Simonas Lukošius 17, Gytis Masiulis 16 (7 reb), Artūras Gudaitis 13, Ignas Sargiūnas 10.
