On Monday, a training session with Rytas Vilnius took place at the Lazdynėlių Vingis apartment complex with local residents. This was the first, but not the last, result of the partnership between the real estate developer HOMA and Rytas beyond the arenas.
The session, attended by children from Lazdynėlių Vingis and their parents, was led by the team’s coaches Gustas Maskoliūnas and Georgios Dedas, with support from Ignas Sargiūnas, who joined Rytas this year and is projected as one of the team’s leaders.

Rytas representatives worked with neighborhood kids on game techniques and tactics, while also taking the time to meet, share their ambitions, and discuss future goals.
Rytas guard and winner of the LKL Season Breakthrough of the Year 2023-2024 award, Ignas Sargiūnas, said that such meetings with the younger generation can offer much more than just practical game skills.
“In sports, inspiration and motivation often have a decisive impact, especially among beginners. I am not only happy to share my experience every time, but I also hope these moments can change children’s perspective on basketball or any other physical activity,” said I. Sargiūnas.

He was supported by Rytas coach Gustas Maskoliūnas, who emphasized that the club always seeks opportunities to be closer to Vilnius residents beyond the arenas.
“In the capital, Rytas is more than a team – it’s part of Vilnius’ identity. That’s why we are glad not only to participate in community activities but also to share our experience and contribute to the growth of the next generation,” said G. Maskoliūnas.

The training at Lazdynėlių Vingis was the first initiative by real estate developer HOMA to strengthen connections between residents and the club community. Last week, the company announced it had become a gold-level sponsor of Rytas Vilnius.
“Those who know us well understand that sports and community relations are among the most important directions of our activities – both as a business group and as individual colleagues. I’m glad that together with Rytas we can turn all this into valuable experiences for our project residents. I am confident this will not be the last joint initiative of this kind,” said Jurgita Kveselaitė, CEO of Homa Group.
Homa Group is a real estate development company with over 15 years of experience, specializing in long-lasting and convenient residential projects.
