Lietkabelis Panevėžys (3–2) thrilled their fans with a victory in the Betsafe LKL. Nenad Čanak’s squad defeated Rytas Vilnius (3–1) at home 89–84 (23–21, 22–20, 24–21, 20–22).

Although Rytas started slightly better (5–2), Augustine Rubit and Lazar Mutić quickly turned the score around — 6–5. Lietkabelis gradually built their lead (13–7), while Gytis Radzevičius contributed little for the visitors. Rytas began a run led by Jordan Walker (17–19), Martynas Paliukėnas tied the game, and Gytis Masiulis put them ahead — 21–19. By the end of the first quarter, the hosts held a narrow lead — 23–21.

Panevėžys regained control (29–23). Jamel Morris answered Paliukėnas’ run, and Vytenis Lipkevičius matched Jacob Wiley — 33–27. Artūras Gudaitis slightly reduced Rytas’ deficit (31–36), but Gabrielius Maldūnas had other plans — 40–31. A quick 5–0 run by the visitors cut the gap (38–43), but after the first half, Nenad Čanak’s team still held control — 45–41.

Danielius Lavrinovičius and Jamel Morris helped Lietkabelis feel stronger (55–44) and build a double-digit lead. Ignas Sargiūnas and Jacob Wiley reduced the deficit (53–60), but Lipkevičius and Morris continued to lead — 65–54. Rytas tried again to close in (62–69), but could not fully erase the gap.

Although Paulius Danusevičius responded to Gudaitis (74–66), Rytas tried to get closer. Wiley and Paliukėnas managed to narrow the gap (73–76), but Morris dominated. His strong stretch kept Lietkabelis in control, with Danusevičius also contributing a dunk, pushing the lead to 86–76.

After Wiley’s points, a quick timeout from Čanak helped Lietkabelis regain defensive composure, but Gudaitis hit a long two-pointer with 90 seconds left — 80–86. Kristjan Kullamae’s shot effectively sealed the game — 89–80. Sargiūnas still kept hope alive for Rytas (84–89) and even forced a turnover, but G. Radzevičius missed a crucial shot.

Jamel Morris played the most productive game of his LKL career, scoring 29 points.
