Rytas Vilnius signed a one-year contract with 25-year-old, 203 cm tall forward Ricky Lindo. The basketball player spent last season in France, where he represented the JL Bourg Basket of Bourg-en-Bresse team and became a EuroCup champion with them.
In the French Championship (Betclic Élite), the forward spent an average of 20 minutes on the court per game, averaging 8.2 points, grabbing 4.2 rebounds, dishing out 1.1 assists, and recording 11.2 efficiency points. In the EuroCup tournament, his statistics in an average of 23 playing minutes reached 7.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
“We are happy about Ricky’s arrival to the team. First of all, we value his versatility and abilities, what he can give to the team – both his fighting spirit and athletic qualities. Another thing, no less important – the player was an important part of the EuroCup champion team. He is also a player who knows what it means to win, knows what it means to go through difficulties to win something. We are pleased with his signing and hope that he will be an important part of our puzzle,” said head coach Nedas Pacevičius.
During the season before last, in 2024–2025, the basketball player played in the Israeli League, where he represented the Ironi Ness Ziona club. In this team, his role in the offense was larger – per game, he averaged 12.6 points, grabbed 7.2 rebounds, dished out 2.3 assists, blocked 1.2 shots, and made 1.3 steals. The basketball player shot 62.2% from two-point range.
R. Lindo started his professional career in the 2023–2024 season in Finland, with the Kouvot team, where he averaged 17.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
“In every game, I will give my all and 100 percent of myself. I will do everything to help the team win! I am looking forward to continuing the winning culture here at Rytas, and I hope to bring another championship title to the city of Vilnius!” said the team’s newcomer, Ricky Lindo.
Before moving to Europe, the basketball player played for five years in the NCAA collegiate league. He spent his first two seasons at the University of Maryland, and later transferred to George Washington University. In his final season (2022–2023), the forward averaged 10.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and blocked 1.2 opponent shots per game. R. Lindo has also represented the Panama men’s national basketball team in the World Cup qualifiers.
