On Sunday, September 6, Lukiškės Prison 2.0, located in the heart of the capital, will be painted in Rytas colors – black, white, and red.
Rytas Vilnius invites all residents of Vilnius, city guests, and basketball fans to the one-day festival “Black, White, and Red Vilnius,” which will bring together live music, the returning 3×3 tournament, the team presentation, and numerous other activations from sponsors and partners. Furthermore, this year the festival is even larger, becoming a part of the capital’s largest city festival, “Vilnius Days,” which is returning to the capital for the 34th time on September 4–6.
Having successfully launched last year, the free festival will delight event guests this year from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, becoming one of the brightest early autumn celebrations in the capital and officially starting the new Rytas season. Therefore, during the festival, participants will not only have the opportunity to enjoy live music, but also to get to know the team’s newcomers better and hear the thoughts of the veterans about the upcoming season. Additionally, the charity campaign “Dronatonas,” organized by Blue / Yellow, awaits you, where by donating money to strengthen the skies of Lithuania and Ukraine, you will be able to win prizes established by Rytas.
An energetic and strong lineup of Lithuanian artists awaits visitors in the event’s musical program.
Performing on the stage of Lukiškės Prison 2.0 will be G&G Sindikatas, who have been surprising audiences with their music since 1996 and have won as many as three M.A.M.A Hip-Hop Group of the Year awards. Joining them will be Abudu, who celebrated their 10th anniversary this year and were recognized as the 2024 M.A.M.A Rock Band of the Year, while the hip-hop line will be continued by Despotin Fam, who won a M.A.M.A award in this category in 2024 and are well-known to Rytas fans.
Rock energy will be supported by the rebels McLoud, who were nominated in the Rock Band of the Year category at the 2024 M.A.M.A awards, and to ensure there is no shortage of familiar faces, Contra98 will help listeners experience beloved Rytas chants in a different way. Event participants will also be entertained by the Vilnius improvisational rap group Freestarz: Banginis and Friends, and DJ Kinder Straik, who already performed at last year’s festival.
Event program:
Fierce street basketball battles will become an inseparable part of the event. In the 3×3 basketball tournament, which returns after a break, teams will compete for prizes established by sponsors and, of course, the championship title. This year, three categories are organized in the tournament – boys under 18, men 18+, and girls (no restrictions). You can register your team here.
Throughout the entire day, the event areas will feature interactive zones from partners and sponsors, sports challenges, food and beverage trucks, and, of course, a special Rytas merchandise space, where fans can be the first to gear up with the new season’s merchandise and properly prepare for the battles of the upcoming season.
