Rytas Vilnius strengthens its guard rotation as American guard Jordan Walker joins the team. The 183 cm tall player comes to the capital after an impressive performance last season in the FIBA Basketball Champions League, where he stood out as one of the tournament’s top scorers.

“Jordan is a player who can take initiative and ignite the team’s offense,” said Rytas Vilnius sports director Artūras Jomantas. “He not only has a strong long-range shot but also the ability to create opportunities for his teammates. We needed someone who can decide games with individual skill. We are eagerly awaiting his debut and work with the team.”

Last season, wearing the Patras Promitheas BC Vikos Cola jersey, J. Walker played in 7 FIBA Champions League games, averaging 32 minutes per game and scoring 23.1 points. He ranked second in the entire league in scoring. The guard also averaged 4.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game. His shooting accuracy was 42.3 percent from two-point range, 46 percent from three, and 93.9 percent from the free-throw line. In a game against Istanbul Galatasaray, the 26-year-old guard scored 19 points in just 3 minutes, and on March 19 in the playoffs against Wurzburg FIT/One Wurzburg Baskets, he scored 54 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, made 7 assists, and recorded 58 efficiency points – marking his best performance of the 2024–2025 season and setting a new league scoring record.

“I’ve heard many great things about this organization – its professionalism, excellent coaching staff, the players, and most importantly, the incredible fans. I’ve never played in front of such a large home crowd. I usually played away games where the opponents had more fans. So finally having strong home support will be a special feeling – I can’t wait to experience it,” said Jordanas Walker about joining the team. “Fans – I’m extremely happy to be here. I want to help the team win and put on a real show on the court!”

Jordanas Walker began his college career at Seton Hall University, later playing for Tulane University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). At UAB, he demonstrated his talents – in 2022, he was named both the Conference USA Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, becoming only the second player in the university’s history to receive this prestigious award. He also scored 42 points in a single game, marking the best performance in UAB history.

Walker began his professional career in the NBA G League with the Texas Legends, later playing for Osos de Manatí (Puerto Rico) and the Hong Kong Bulls. In the 2024–2025 season, he moved to Europe to play for Patras Promitheas BC Vikos Cola.
